We had a party last night at our apartment with about 30 friends. People showed up around 9pm and we made traditional jiaozi (dumplings) with the group and then ate them. A couple of us went downstairs and set off some of the big fireworks I bought. Here in the video, you see me set off a traditional firecracker with about 5000 rounds followed by me setting off this big box i bought for 300 rmb ($40). It was pretty incredible. We finished off the evening on our balcony seeing an incredible view of fireworks into central beijing. The kids made it to midnight, so today has been a little off for everybody.
